ASTRO PHYSIC
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"You can build anything out here. The question is whether it'll be enough."

Your crew is gone. The stations are dark. The teleporters won't respond — not until you make them.

You are the last astronaut in a dying complex of isolated deep-space stations. All communication is dead. Your only tool is a Workbench. Your only allies are the robots you build with your own hands.

ASTRO PHYSIC is a 2D sci-fi puzzle platformer about mass, mobility, and making do with what you have. You don't fight your way through — you engineer your way through. Every station is a unique problem. The solution isn't given. You build it.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
⚙️ THE WORKBENCH — BUILD YOUR TEAM

Every station has a Workbench. Every solution begins there.

Press E to open it. Create robotic creatures and assign them two attributes:

▸ MASS — increases the robot's size and weight. Essential for activating pressure plates and operating counterweight mechanisms.
▸ MOBILITY — increases speed and jump height. Required for reaching elevated platforms and distant switches.

Each attribute costs one Essence. Essences are limited. You cannot build everything — so build exactly what the station requires.

💡 Press V to deconstruct a robot and recover its Essences. Wrong build? No problem — rebuild.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🤖 CONTROL YOUR CREW

You are not a lone astronaut. You are the entire team.

Switch between characters instantly:
1 — Your astronaut (always available)
2 — First robot
3 — Second robot

Your robots don't act on their own — you switch to them and control them directly. Position them as counterweights, climbing steps, or platform activators. Every robot is a tool you operate in person.

🏗️ STATION MECHANICS

PRESSURE PLATES
Scattered across each station. Some require a minimum weight to activate.
→ Hover over them with your cursor to see the exact mass requirement before you build.
This number is your design brief.

TELEPORTER
Your exit. Inactive by default. Lights up only when every pressure plate in the station is triggered. No skipping.

ELEVATOR SYSTEM
Two connected cabins: one high, one low. Load a heavy robot into the upper cabin — the counterweight effect raises whoever is in the lower cabin. Weight and timing matter.

SCALE / COUNTERWEIGHT
Same mass-balancing logic, different form. Load one side to raise the other. Opens routes that don't exist otherwise.

HEAD JUMPING
Sometimes a ledge is just slightly too high. Your robot's head is a valid platform. Park one underneath, switch to your astronaut, and jump from their head. Standard procedure.

📋 HOW TO APPROACH A STATION

1. Survey the entire room first. Don't touch the Workbench yet.
2. Hover your cursor over every pressure plate — note the required mass values.
3. Count your Essences. Plan how many robots you actually need.
4. Press E → Workbench. Arrow Keys to set attributes. Enter to create.
5. Use 1/2/3 to switch between characters and position everyone correctly.
6. Stuck? Press V to deconstruct and rebuild. Press R to restart from scratch.

The answer is always in the room.
You just have to read it before you build.

Tips for Completing the Stations

Stuck on a station? Open the hint only if you need help.

Station Hint
Station 1
Show hint Build a robot with high mobility so you can jump onto the upper platform using it.
Station 2
Show hint Build a robot that can jump from the player’s head onto the platform. Don’t forget to inspect the platform with the cursor to see how much mass it requires.
Station 3
Show hint Transport the player across the floating platform, then move the robot to the second half of the station. After that, use the robot to reach the upper platform and activate the teleporter.
Station 4
Show hint Build a high-mass robot to trigger the elevator and transport the player to the teleporter.
Station 5
Show hint Balance the floating platform by placing equal mass on both ends to activate the mechanism. Then use it like a seesaw: jump onto it behind the high-mass robot to catapult the player upward.
